Side by side - here are the Shropshire hills as you have probably never seen them before!

In reality the Lawley and the Wrekin are about 10 miles apart, but this picture was taken on a long lens which gives the impression that they are far closer.

I’ve yet to walk up the southern end of the Lawley, but I have to say that it looked pretty formidable from where I was standing on the Long Mynd.

Both the Wrekin and the Lawley are part of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which covers almost a quarter of the county.
