Full moon over Ludlow and St Laurence's

I photographed this scene at sunrise a while back and was delighted to get a contrasting shot from the same spot earlier this month.

St Laurence’s has been described as the Cathedral of the Marches - and it’s easy to see why.

At 135 feet the tower dominates the town, and the chiming of its bells has been a part of everyday life since the early 17th century.

The bells play a different tune for each day of the week and are mentioned by A E Housman in A Shropshire Lad.
