Misty sunrise over beautiful Corvedale

Wenlock Edge stretches across the landscape, while Caer Caradoc and the Lawley stand out on the horizon in the early morning sunshine.

In the centre of the shot is the church tower at Stoke St Milborough, named for the Anglo-Saxon princess St Milburga, who was the abbess of Wenlock Priory.

This is a landscape that would have been familiar to travellers on the Clee-Clun Ridgeway, a trading route used by prehistoric man.

It was one of the many hill-top highways which were in use for thousands of years until the arrival of the Romans and their roads.
