Carpet of white at Acton Scott church
A carpet of snowdrops covers the churchyard at Acton Scott, near Church Stretton.

The Long Mynd can be seen beyond the ancient yew trees that surround the site, while Ragleth is on the far right.
I spotted a heavy horse in the field opposite and waited for half an hour in the winter sunshine before he slowly moved into view and completed the picture.
St Margaret's Church dates from around 1250, although the building underwent much restoration in the 19th century.
