Harvest time in the shadow of the Wrekin

This was my view as the light began to fade and I headed for home along a winding country lane near Church Stretton.

I crested a hill not far from the village of Picklescott and there in front of me was an eye-catching pattern of crops.

Luckily there was no-one behind me so I could reverse the car and wedge it in an entrance to a nearby field.

I quickly grabbed my long lens, ran back up the lane, and managed just one shot before the light disappeared.
